There are some things nobody really warns you about before bringing a baby home.

The nappies are one of them.

A nappy bin can be incredibly convenient — particularly at 2am when the last thing a parent wants to do is walk a dirty nappy outside. But keeping used nappies conveniently inside the home can create another problem: the smell.

Parents discussing nappy bins online often describe a familiar experience: the bin may contain the smell reasonably well while it is closed, but opening it to add another nappy can release a concentrated burst of unpleasant air into the nursery. Some parents resort to extra bags, deodorisers, frequent washing or simply carrying every dirty nappy outside.

What if you could add another barrier?

Rather than replacing the nappy bin you already own or trying to disguise unpleasant odours with fragrance, Enviro Bin Cap Indoor uses a simple physical-barrier approach.

The stretch-fit cap goes over the indoor bin and lid, creating an additional barrier that helps restrict the movement of odour-laden air from the bin into the surrounding room.

  • No perfume
  • No deodorising chemicals
  • No need to throw away a perfectly good nappy bin

Just another layer between the waste and your home.

Why containing the source makes sense

There is an important difference between masking an odour and helping contain it at its source. Enviro Bin Cap Indoor takes the second approach. It is designed to help keep unpleasant bin odours contained without adding fragrances or chemicals to the room.

That does not mean a smelly nappy bin automatically represents a health hazard, and odour alone is not a measure of indoor air quality. Our approach is simply to help contain the source rather than cover the smell with another scent.

Tested where it matters: on a real nappy bin

Before launch, we gave Enviro Bin Cap Indoor to local first-time mum Loren W, whose baby is under one, and asked her to try it on the nappy bin she already used at home.

Her experience was simple: during her test, the Bin Cap stopped the nappy-bin odours escaping and the bin did not attract flies.

That is one mum’s real-world experience rather than laboratory testing, and results can naturally vary depending on the bin, its contents and how it is used. But it was exactly the environment we designed Indoor Bin Cap for.

Keep the nappy bin. Put a cap on it.

Parenthood already comes with enough equipment, consumables and things that need replacing.

Enviro Bin Cap Indoor is not another nappy-bin system. It is designed to work with a wide range of existing indoor bins and nappy bins up to 120 litres. Each cap is designed to last approximately 3–4 weeks, depending on soiling or damage, giving a four-pack approximately 12–16 weeks of use.

Because it uses a physical-barrier approach, there are no added fragrances or chemicals required to do its job.

Your nappy bin can stay exactly where it is.

Just put a cap on it.
